Google's "End-to-end" email extension

So today I read that Google is working on an extension to further encrypt emails.

I like that idea. Most people won't want to spend time installing a program using some complex method, so it's nice that Google is trying to make the technology widely available. Hopefully this will make more people secure in light of the NSA revelations, which can't be a bad thing. I look forward to its release.
